It Takes a Village

Jonathan Carver Moore is the owner of a contemporary art gallery that specializes in working with emerging and established artists who are BIPOC, LGBTQ+ and women. As the only openly gay Black male owned gallery in San Francisco, Jonathan is committed to amplifying the voices of the often underrepresented artists through a Black queer lens.

Katie Hazard is the Associate Director of Art Management for Burning Man. She leads the selection, placement, and installation of over 400 artworks annually in Black Rock City and beyond.

Stella Kim is an urban designer and city planner who is fiercely dedicated to supporting vibrancy in our cities and shaping, through the tools of design and strategy, the way we experience places. She is an Urban Designer at SITELAB urban studio based in San Francisco, and her work ranges from managing a program of nearly 600 public spaces in New York City, to guiding the latest vision for Downtown SF recovery through the Public Realm Action Plan.

Lauro Gonzalez is the founder of Artyhood, an organization that creates opportunities and develops spaces for artists and musicians in San Francisco to connect with the community by showing, performing and selling artwork, predominantly in public spaces.

Aimee Arcilla is the director of operations and wine-director for the LihoLiho restaurant group, which includes LihoLiho Yacht Club and Good Good Culture Club.

Tiffany Carter is a visionary restaurateur, entrepreneur, urbanista and a classically trained Chef. She is the owner of Boug Cali Soul Bodega, one of the few brick and mortar Black businesses in San Francisco.Tiffany is focused on developing and protecting Black space, Black equity, and Black culture in San Francisco. Tiffany also serves as a San Francisco Small Business Commissioner and is a part of the SF Planning Equity council.

Lena Miller is the executive director for Urban Alchemy. Urban Alchemy supports neighborhoods, streets and intersections that have earned a reputation as a place to avoid, and they turn things around. Urban Alchemy is a peaceful and supportive presence, inviting communities to rebuild and restore a sense of pride and respect in urban spaces.

Justin Lokitz is the author of the best-selling books, Design A Better Business: New Tools, Skills, and Mindset for Strategy and Innovation and Business Model Shifts: Six Ways to Create New Value For Customers, an active startup entrepreneur and advisor, the founder and CEO of Plantfully Systems, and a professor and chair of the MBA in Design Strategy program at California College of the Arts. He has more than two decades of experience designing and executing strategies for large, multinational corporations, as well as several startups, including his own.

Sloane’s job is to foster a sense of community, connection and collaboration amongst Intersection’s members in her management of the Space Program. She oversees coworking, space rentals and facilities management. Additionally, she works in collaboration with Intersection’s Director of Professional Development to bring about cohort based arts incubator opportunities which are at the heart of Intersection’s mission: to provide people in arts and culture with the resources they need to grow.

Luke Spray is the managing director of the Green Street Fund and long-time resident of San Francisco, having received his degree in Urban Planning from San Francisco State University. Previously Luke worked in the Portola neighborhood, where he supported the Garden District’s small businesses and community groups with projects ranging from the creation of new gardens to the renovation of the historic Avenue Theater marquee.

Danny Yadegar is a real estate agent with Generation Real Estate Group who has been supporting the Castro Merchants Association in bringing pop-up programming to the Castro District.

Mike Zuckerman is an applied geographer who specializes in co-creating physical spaces that encourage civic engagement. Zuckerman has co-created everything from environmental nightclubs to a network of [ freespaces ] across 14 countries to public spaces in refugee camps.

Laura Schaefer is a proud San Franciscan-Canadian who has collaborated with various City agencies and organizations on projects relating to economic development, civic engagement, tourism, transportation, and public realm development. For over 14 years, she has worked with and led multiple organizations in the public sector in both Toronto, Canada, and San Francisco. Laura is currently the Economic Development Specialist at the Downtown SF Partnership.

Alma Castellanos is the director of operations for Clecha, a non-profit organization provides small business, re-entry, and youth services to ensure Latinas and Latinos understand, navigate, and conquer the oppressive systems that exist in order to achieve financial equity.
