French vintage store Elsie Green joins Vacant to Vibrant

Founded as a family-run business, Elsie Green has built a devoted Bay Area following around  the belief that “not making something new is the greenest thing of all.”  Now open in San Francisco, Elsie Green offers thoughtfully sourced vintage pieces, made-to-order furniture, and a deeply personal approach to curating beautiful things for the home.

“We’ve always believed that a home is more interesting when it isn’t finished all at once,” said Laurie Cain Furber, founder of Elsie Green.

“The things we love most are usually the things with a little history - the old silver you use every day, the painting you found at a flea market, the table that gets better as it gets more worn. We’re excited to bring that point of view to Downtown San Francisco and to create a shop that feels like us: collected, useful, a little imperfect, and full of things we love.”
